How it works

Ordering from Brown Bag Naturals couldn’t be easier. Once your school has signed up for the program, you can order lunches at any time, from a semester in advance up to 6pm the night before delivery. We deliver the freshly-made lunch to your children’s school in the morning, packed in a sealed, personalized brown bag. It’s almost like mom made it (except in this case, she didn’t have to do the shopping or get up early to prepare the lunch).


Ordering

  • Each lunch contains an entrée, two sides, and a drink, along with a napkin and all required utensils. On top of that, our natural and organic pantry partners frequently offer free snacks and drinks that can be added to your child's brown bag at no cost. You can find these items on the daily menu under Select a Drink and Select Additional Item.
  • The Standard meal is $5.00, regardless of which food options you choose. The Junior meal, designed for younger children with smaller appetites (usually 1st grade and younger) comes with smaller portions and is lower cost. Water comes free with lunch. Other drink options are available at slightly higher cost.
  • For convenience, you can order a semester in advance or up to 6pm the night before delivery.

Payment

  • We accept Visa and MasterCard. Payments must be made at the time you place an order, as our school partners have asked us to collect payment.

Cancellations

  • You can cancel your lunch by phone or from the “Account Summary” page any time before 6 PM on the day before scheduled delivery.

Food and Packaging Notes

  • Lunches are packed like they were made at home, sealed in our signature brown bags and labeled with the student’s name and contents of the meal. Messy items (dips, yogurt, lasagna) are placed in leak-proof plastic containers or bags.
  • To ensure the highest quality and freshness, all prepared items are made the day that they're delivered.
  • We make every attempt to use locally-grown produce, so the menus will reflect seasonal changes in the market.
  • Some of the items in Brown Bag lunches may include nuts, dairy products and other items that may cause allergic reactions. We are not responsible for allergic reactions to any food items. If you have ideas for improving the menu, please let us know.
